As a proud owner of First Class Chump and I Think I’m In Love, I was surprised when I found out Excel was an original Sidekick Kato track while listening to Apocalypse Hoboken – Inverse, Reverse, Perverse …. I can only imagine what a polished up version of these tracks would sound like, wish they would’ve added Excel and Seesaw to the First Class Chump LP… Thanks for sharing.

I definitely feel fortunate for living within driving distance to chicago. Spent a lot of time at fireside and the metro in the mid/late 90′s

I agree, not many people have heard of them. So many great songs, I’d have to struggle to find one that I didn’t like or thought didn’t fit on the album. I should post their Des Plaines 7″, Tatterfrock Comp song, and the split with Compound Red. All good songs. Thanks for the comment!

Wow, this album is great! I also saw them with Apocalypse Hoboken, in 1995. Love the album to this day and think it’s a shame that it isn’t better remembered/preserved. Favorite tracks: probably Elephant Shoes, Valentine, and Crashhappy, among many others.
